Custom Autoregressive Language Model
Designed and trained a custom autoregressive language model from scratch utilizing PyTorch, implementing advanced transformer architecture components including RMSNorm, Rotary Positional Embeddings (RoPE), and SwiGLU activations. Engineered Grouped Query Attention (GQA) with an 8:2 query-to-KV head ratio to optimize computation. Systematically resolved severe overfitting on Tiny Shakespeare by scaling down parameters to 2.7M.
